Larry Hartsfield has a Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin in American Studies. He has spent the majority of his career teaching English and Environmental Literature at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. The author of numerous articles and several books, he worked as an editor for such publishing giants as the University of Texas Press before starting his own small publishing house.

Mari Schoenzeit is Ellen Hartsfield's pen name. While still teaching at a college it seemed preferable to write her more spiritual books using a nom de plume.

Under the name Mari, Ellen has published two books. Her first book written as Mari Schoenzeit, Tales of a Reluctant Psychic, is a humorous account of some of the adventures she's had over the years as she's learned to trust her inner wisdom and follow the guidance she receives. Her second book with this pen name, Fear Less: Countdown from Fear to Peace, is the first volume in a series created to guide readers in clearing negative emotions and experiences from the body, mind, and their lives so that they can live with a greater sense of ease, purpose, and joy.

As Mari, Ellen writes books about personal growth, A Course in Miracles and other topics centered around personal growth, awakening, and the discovery of the peaceful path we're all meant to follow.

Ellen Hartsfield received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. Recently retired from Fort Lewis College where she taught French and Linguistics, among other subjects, she now dedicates her time to writing and publishing. Interested in both fiction and nonfiction, she writes poetry, is working on a novel (of course!), and teaches and writes about her own variety of meditation called "frequency meditation," among other topics.

The world's interplay of light and dark, of shadow and form, of the seemingly solid and the ephemeral.
